To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Patricia Laws, and I am a 58 year old female with chronic health issues. I was diagnosed with acute Fibromyalgia in my early 30's, and with Rheumatoid Arthritis three years ago. In the past, doctors have prescribed Oxycodone, morphine, fentanyl, and methadone for my pain control. With the help of pain medications, I was able to have a somewhat active life. Due to long term health and addiction issues, my husband and I decided I would get off all pain medicines. This decision, though I don't regret it, changed my life. My daily activity and quality of life went way down.
I met Lisa Rodriguez about 1 1/2 years ago. She explained to me that she was in school, taking classes for naturopathic healing. It was interesting but I really didn't believe in this "alternative" approach. Lisa and I became better friends, and she would share more about her classes. On several occasions Lisa said she thought she could help me, but I would smile and change the subject. Honestly, it seemed so simplistic that I couldn't image it would work.
Three months ago Lisa said she needed a case study for school, and asked me if I would be that person. I said yes, but with one caveat, that I would be 100 percent honest with her. We are about 9 sessions in, and I am amazed that I'm feeling better. I've been so pleased that I began telling everyone how much better I feel. I know this care is ongoing, but I feel better now than I have in four years, and without pain medications. Lisa has explained to me that once I get to a certain point in my healing, then the treatments will be more of a maintenance. I look forward to that time.
I'm now a believer in naturopathic healing, and am so grateful to Lisa for not giving up on trying to help me. I look forward to continued treatments, and a better quality of life.
Respectfully,
Patricia Laws
